Michael Fortanasce (brother of Dr. Vincent Fortanasce) received his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1977 and received his Advanced Standing Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Southern California in 1996. Dr. Michael Fortanasce founded Fortanasce & Associates Physical Therapy Clinic in 1981 beginning with three small rooms and has built the Arcadia facility into the 11,000-plus square-foot free-standing facility that it is today. It is located in a 2 story building directly below the Fortanasce-Barton Neurology Center. Dr. Michael Fortanasce is a regular speaker at the accredited Southern California physical therapy schools as well as many other programs throughout the nation with topics ranging from ethics in clinical practice to the steps necessary to insure the growth and survival of our profession. He has presented numerous papers at state and national professional meetings and continues to be a crusader for each and every patient and the profession of physical therapy. Recently Dr. Michael Fortanasce has been appointed as 2012 Injury prevention and rehabilitation consultant for China's Olympic Team.
